Sliinky (2023)

Sliinky, written for percussion ensemble, slings in and out of grooves similar to the movement of a slinky. Rhythmic gestures collapse and allign in and out of moving formations as motives gradually phase into and stack on top of one another. Sliinky was commissioned by the University of North Carolina at Pembroke Percussion Ensemble, led by Dr. Joseph Van Hassel.
